About the artist
My art wouldn't exist without my morning coffee and a bit of Dolly Parton.
Dutch illustrator and photographer Carlijn Seves is the creative mind behind the design studio BlauMaschine. It was during her studies in Illustration Design at ArtEZ Institute of the Arts that Carlijn discovered her passion for graphic design and photography. Inspired by nature, new environments and beautiful exhibitions, she finds her drive while dancing around in her studio, drinking coffee and taking long walks with her dog. Combining everything from screen printing to analogue photography to digital processes, her use of mixed-media is as diverse as the styles, colours and subjects in her designs.
